Believe it or not, until Richard established the Mental Health Awards, there was no national or international recognition for innovative or successful mental health interventions. Envisioned as an equivalent of the ‘Pride of Britain’ awards, the launch was interrupted by the arrival of the pandemic and national lockdown.
